One went for 150, one for 120, and one for 100. I almost had one, but people outbid at the last second. I sort of feel bad for driving some of those bids up so high now.

I can't remember anyone doing stuff like this in the past. Didn't Frolic used to get those auctions taken down? I always just sold my extra tickets for the same price I bought them (give or take $5) and people did the same for me.

anyone who knows me know i would never ever ever do anything bad to hulla, it was in no way BLATANT scalping, would you like to talk to the friends that i bought them for that cant come. All you who got tickets will be getting more than just the tickets from me, I had to do it SOME fair way, people were offering me upwards of 300 dollars for them, how was I supposed to know who was most deserving of them???
Can anyone else think of another fair way to do it...I know I couldnt...
I had to get the money i paid for them back, i have bills to pay and i cant just sit on 150 dollars between now and whenever i can find some perfect candidate for them.....
I feel bad enough about the whole situation I dont know some random kid on the hullaboard ripping into me about it privatly, and now publically...thats crap man...

^^ I wouldn't worry about it. No matter how you would have taken care of selling your extra tix someone would have thought it was unfair or wrong or whatever. So you did what you had to in order to take care of it as quickly and easily as possible, that's all that matters. Don't let people get you down.

I don't agree with this. I seem to remember Frolic frowning upon the ebay stuff in the past. The problem is, other people are going to copy what she did for this party (and future parties?) and a lot of people are going to end up paying way more than the original $40 price set by Frolic. If anyone should be profiting off the ticket sales, it's Robin and Frolic. This is just my opinion though.
That's probably a good thing, but I wouldn't dwell on it. What's done is done.

carrie, you are awesome. You didn't do anything wrong, and weren't expecting the bidding to go that high. You cannot control other people's actions, and they are the ones who were willing to pay that price for the tickets. Thats the whole point of ebay, people pay whatever price they feel is reasonable for the goods available. At least you didn't buy the tickets for the sole purpose of selling them on ebay for profit, as I'm sure some people did!

Yeah don't feel bad for selling them on ebay. you set the starting bid at a reasonable price and you couldn't control the price that people bid up too.
