Here's one...

If you check her other auctions you can see the rest of them, but I think this collection speaks for itself.

I really hope that isn't what happened. :s

I agree
Oh well.. hopefully if that is what happened.. someone will buy them and resurrect them.

I really think about the energy in certain objects. Like a piece of kandi holds both the memory of the event where I received it, as well as (hopefully) the love of the person who made it.

Maybe I'm attaching too much meaning to it...

The only one I've taken apart (that hasn't broken accidentally!) is one I made myself that got really stretched, and also lost it's meaning to me, because i had made it symbolizing a friendship that no longer exists.

I wouldn't dream of taking apart one that someone had given me.

I even have a little tiny one that my friend's son gave me at a music festival. It's so tiny that only my old Elmo doll can wear it

I didn't really find anything good this time..
Except the UV reactive ones that are white, but turn assorted colours under UV light..

Only thing I got was a bag of 1000 neon pony beads, because even at Walmart they are too expensive here for my liking (at least with the amount I want to make this time!)

The worst is when one just breaks and all the beads go flying everywhere its uber sad I hate that more than anything. I can't even try to scramble around the dark party floors when it happens at events.....not even a fun scenario......

that makes me sad. but that's also the reason i use the thick elastic so that it makes it less likely to happen.

Yeah... I use really good elastic too, so that doesn't happen.

I remember one of my favorites breaking at the Armin show I went to and I was up by the stage.. there was no way I could scramble with all the feet that would have trampled me :/

I get this beading stuff at Walmart that kinda looks like spaghetti and comes in different widths and comes in assorted colors and clear. I don't know what it's called but it's really strong and stretchy.

If that's not the kind you meant.. I'll try to find the other stuff. I've never had any problem with this stuff though.

Hmm.. okay.
I'll take a look then.

The really thin one of that kind makes me mad..

Worst bracelets I've seen were made of rexlace.. or cut up rubber bands.

almost every piece that ever happened to was one someone gave to me so it was more heartbreaking than if it was a piece i made. that only ever happened once. and it was with the shitty rubber stretch magik crap. i am an elastic cord girl for life
its like 69 cents a pack at walmart and depending on how huge of a piece you're making (the biggest i go is four rows) so i can get a decent amount of one package. anyhow yah

Thanks guys.
I've never really noticed a problem, either with wearing or with ones I've made, but maybe I'll make the switch.
